Sounds of Wadaiko

Wadaiko is a simple instrument, in that almost anyone can beat it to make a sound. However, it is also a very complex instrument, producing a different tone depending on who beats it and how. For those of you who have not had an opportunity to experience the diversity of the sounds of wadaiko, we have posted a few samples below.

Thanks to the late wadaiko boom, many wadaiko ensemble pieces continue to be composed.
